CLEANTECH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

This conference brought leaders in the Cleantech sector together with policy makers to discuss the current state of clean technology in Canada and the future of innovation. Canada’s Cleantech sector faces many challenges to scaling onto the international stage. The conversations held in Ottawa tackled these challenges head-on and sparked passionate debate.

  • The Experience

Delegates arrived at The Westin Ottawa and made their way to the conference level where they were greeted by Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) staff for registration. After a continental breakfast, delegates moved into the Governor General ballroom for the day’s sessions. Two Canadian flags flanked the stage and accent lights of green and blue brought Sustainable Development Technology Canada’s brand to the forefront.

It was a jam-packed day, with five panel discussions as well as a keynote presentation by the Honourable Navdeep Bains Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. A graphic recorder was on hand to capture the main themes of the day, creating unique artworks to represent each session.

Discussions focused on the Cleantech sector, pitting industry leaders against government policy-makers, sparking heated debates. At the end of the day’s program, delegates were welcomed at the National Gallery of Canada for a post-conference private reception.  The Gallery’s CEO Marc Mayer gave a short presentation followed by an engaging Q&A session before delegates were given a sneak peak at the newest photography exhibit in the Gallery – Photography in Canada 1960 – 2000.

"SDTC first engaged "e"s services on our annual Cleantech Leadership Summit, held in May 2016. From the moment we engaged with "e" right through to event execution and closeout, the experience was professional, positive and solution-oriented. Their hands-on approach is incomparable in the industry. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their event management services for any event."
