The Mirror Ball Gala is an annual fundraising gala for Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) whose mission it is to support women journeying through cancer to feel like themselves again through beauty, health and wellbeing support to increase confidence and positive self-image.


The goal is to raise funds, awareness, lasting connections and highlight sponsors while bringing guests together for an entertaining and engaging affair. 

  • The Experience

    In partnership with our client, we brought meaningful moments to life in every direction. We split the ballroom into two with a stunning shimmery drape line to define the reception and dining areas within the ballroom and to create a WOW moment when moving through the spaces. 


    The evening started in the cocktail reception area, which featured several sponsor activations, including a literal mirror ball photo booth and cohesive event brand designed gift card walls where guests could purchase a bag or numbered card and receive a gift card of an unknown amount; all proceeds went to the cause, of course. A giant wishing tree was placed in the centre of the reception space. Guests were asked to help bring the tree to life by reflecting and sharing why they were there to support LGFB. Passed food and beverage delighted the guests while they perused the silent auction area. 


    Our team worked with our client, an experienced committee, and some of Canada’s most recognized companies to procure and display 180 auction items [175 silent auction items and 5 live auction items], as well as worked with our auction partners, Givergy, to use an iPad system for guests to bid throughout the evening both in the reception area and at their tables.


    When it was time to move to the dinner side of the room, announcements were made and the shimmering drape was pulled back to reveal the elegant dining tables and main presentation stage. Interspersed with a three-course meal, the show consisted of moving sizzle reels, personal stories from LGFB Ambassadors, sponsor remarks, a live auction, and flower presentations to key donors. Our programming goal was to connect guests directly to the cause so everybody not only donated but also learned more about LGFB. 


    After the formal programming, an 11-piece band headlined the afterparty while guests danced the night away. 

  • Whizbang Moment

    All of the moving comments shared on the wishing tree! Along with the $1,200,000.00 we raised that night, of course.
