A ceremony and presentation of the Pritzker Prize, the highest honour in architecture from Thomas Pritzker, followed by a dinner.

  • The Experience

The evening began with guests being shuttled, in luxury coaches and private cars to the Aga Khan Museum from the Hyatt Regency and Four Seasons Hotel. Guests were received at a champagne reception on a lovely May evening and met by Givergy Registration, which smoothly and efficiently kept a tally on guests as they arrived.

To celebrate the accomplishments of B.V. Doshi, guests were invited into the auditorium for a presentation of his work, speeches on his behalf, and the presentation of the Pritzker Prize, the highest honour in architecture from Thomas Pritzker. After the prestigious ceremony, guests were invited back to the Atrium for passed canapés, cocktails and congratulations, while a string quartet played in the background.

Dinner was set in a clear span tent placed in the gardens of the Aga Khan Museum. The gardens were tranquil and beautiful, with trees, flowers, rockery and stunning water features. Navy blue linens were set on square tables of eight and at the centre of each elegant table was a low bowl of pink peonies (Margot Pritzker's favourite) and candles.

A four-course meal was served and enjoyed by all guests, catered by McEwan (exclusive supplier to Aga Khan Museum). By request of the client, the only background sound was conversation and the water features, which created a tranquil environment for networking, connecting celebrating the lifetime of achievement in architecture excellence by B.V. Doshi.
