We had the distinct pleasure of producing the inaugural De Beers Time to Shine Gala for the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. This black-tie event was a unique opportunity event designed to target a new audience of philanthropic guests. The inaugural reveal of the cheque showcased the fundraising efforts from the gala, over $1.3 Million was raised for the foundation! 

  • The Experience

    The Time to Shine gala was hosted on the third night of the Chinese New Year – the day of celebration welcoming the year of the Sheep. The event featured a five-course menu designed by world-renowned international chefs. In between courses, guests enjoyed performances from three young Vancouver talents all under seven years old performing on a gold Fazioli piano! The event was designed to create a feel that was unique, classy, and luxurious in execution and design. The main purpose of the gala was to inspire guests, and the elegant evening was an outstanding success!


    The reveal was set on centre stage with all board members set to flip the 5ft wide cheque. Classical background music played while a confetti cannon shot gold confetti into the audience. All event creative was designed in the theme of “extraordinary experience” to match the novel and exquisite gala title.


    Time to Shine Gala has become the talk of the gala season – and is now a headliner as one of Vancouver’s most high-profile gala events.

  • Whizbang Moment

    When every single guest in the room fell so in love with the floral centrepieces that they hand-carried  out (in their ballgowns) the 35lbs+ arrangements to their cars.
