We were engaged to produce the creative strategy, content development and production design for a main stage and general session technology showcase for a global user group conference in Madrid, Spain. Our Experience Producers, creative team and industry partners layered in a unique set design and content focused around the theme and creative direction of the conference, [Ahead of the Curve].

  • The Experience

    There are many layers to our client’s user group conference including the main stage general session, breakout sessions, demo centre, socials, partner conference and executive forum. We are the production partner for the main stage and the sessions, including the opening and closing general sessions, panels, keynote presentations and the CTO [Chief Technology Officer’s] 90-minute product update and showcase.


    Building off of the client’s theme, Ahead of the Curve, we worked with a local AV partner to create a uniquely curved LED screen designed to allow for multiple product demos with secret speaker entrances and exits. The stage was finished with high gloss flooring, LED strips, simple and impactful lighting, and a special entrance for the star of the show, the company's CTO, hidden within the LED wall.


    We partnered with our digital content vendor to work collaboratively with scripting for the CTO, 12 subject matter expert speakers, and demos that would present the innovations and technologies. The content on the LED screen ran simultaneously with the speakers on stage, supporting their segment with high impact visuals that showcased the products in action and how the user experience is impacted by the featured product. This process took many months of content creation, read throughs, rehearsals and adaptations as technologies progressed and were released. 


    Through speaker coaching and relationship development we focused on each speakers’ personality through the content and their walk-on music choices, providing a safe and relaxed atmosphere for the subject matter experts to shine in this environment. Our process of using emotional and technical intelligence puts the humans who develop these technologies in focus, rather than simply highlighting the product.


    We worked with a local production partner to mitigate any complexities that come along with incentive programs, including language barriers and travel scheduling. We requested English-speaking operators and ensured that our show calling language and terms were Spanish friendly and well communicated to produce a seamless show. We pride ourselves on respecting our client’s budget and only traveling with key personnel, procuring and hiring local operators, experts and support teams. 

  • Whizbang Moment

    The surprise door in the LED wall that the CTO entered from! The door closed seamlessly afterward and was used only one other time [during the introduction of the keynote in the closing session]. Wow factor indeed.
